Type 2 Diabetes BASICS third edition now available
The third edition of Type 2 Diabetes BASICS has just been released. Both the curriculum guide and patient book have completely updated clinical information and many new features.
Physical activity is emphasized in each session. Patients learn how regular activity can positively impact their glucose levels and heart health. Good nutrition choices are easy to make with new sample restaurant menu meals and carbohydrate counting by choices and grams.
The third edition addresses prediabetes and includes a plan people with prediabetes can follow to prevent or delay the onset of type 2 diabetes. Also included is a fully-updated CD containing presentation graphics to use before and during your education sessions. The CD has more than 90 color slides and is included free with the curriculum guide and starter kit.
