New Editions in the My Food Plan Series
Three new editions in our My Food Plan series are now available. These handy, low-cost resources are great for teaching carb counting, the basics of nutrition label reading and creating a one-day food plan. My Food Plan (fifth edition) now includes more ethnic foods and revised information on sugars, fiber and sugar alcohol. My Food Plan for Kids & Teens (fourth edition) teaches kids and teens about good nutrition and is geared to foods they eat. My Food Plan for Gestational Diabetes (fourth edition) helps women with gestational diabetes learn about good food choices during their pregnancy. These My Food Plans are also available in Spanish.
Type 2 Diabetes BASICS Patient Book (English and Spanish)
This new edition of Type 2 Diabetes BASICS, our popular diabetes education resource, provides the information people need to manage their diabetes. Written at a fifth-grade reading level, it’s engaging and easy to follow, with interactive features such as quizzes and checklists. Targets, medications and the diabetes care schedule have all been updated and new graphics are included to better illustrate key concepts. We’ve made our best-selling teaching tool even better! My Food Plan continues to set the standard when it comes to teaching the basics of food planning and carbohydrate counting. This fifth edition includes more ethnic foods as well as revised information on sugars, fiber and sugar alcohol. The individual food plan section has space to log total carbohydrates per day, plus there’s updated information on food labels and carbohydrate counting.
