Type 2 Diabetes BASICS – New Diabetes Diagnostic Criteria

In January 2010, the American Diabetes Association (ADA) released new criteria for diagnosing type 1, type 2 and prediabetes. Diagnosis can now be made with an A1C test, fasting glucose test, random glucose test, or an oral glucose tolerance test.
